Evaluation 

I created and designed 2 mod magazine covers using Photoshop software. I designed an A3 and A4 layout designs of the magazine. one was portrait and other one was land scape.   I carried out research based on the 60's magazines. I used the internet as my resource for images. I also used my dad for my model for the photo shoot. 

I enjoyed taking photos in the studio of my dad as this allowed me to make several changes. 

My strengths were taking the picture as I liked them and I enjoyed putting the image together on the magazine.

I disliked the name so the changes I made was to the title because I thought Mod is not very eye catching and attractive. Therefore,  I amended  the title into The Face. This looked good. This change helped me improve my magazine cover. 

Overall I have enjoyed designing and creating the magazine cover because it was fun taking  photo shoots.

chosen photos

 I choose this picture because i made it brighter then some of the others i have choose . I like way he is stood because of the wear it will fit in the magazine. I wouldn't change anything about this photo because i like everything about it.

research studio shoot

I choose this kind of year because i like the way they dress and the clothes are good looking to wear if your a man and i want to choose different style from everybody else.  

high key and low key

brings out the features in the picture. it shows a bright atmosphere and detail in the photo.
the advanges in high key brings out the background so the person stands out.

it brings out the shadow on the face and the light bounces off of the face.
the atmospher promote the shadow on the face.
i dont think there is an advantages in fashion photo shoot.

i would choose high because it brings out all of the textures and fecetures in the face.

studio lighting attachments

soft box defuses the light bring up half of the shadow on the body.

beauty dish brings out shadow on the face it makes the shadow show up little on the face.

standard reflector dish brings out a soft image on portrait photos.
 
snoot you put it on the flash so you just get the face.

soft light casting shadows around the image to block out normal light.

hard light is produce by small light source.

I took this picture at Sherry's in London,mod clothes shop around the corner from carnby
 street . 2 of march 2016. I  use a shop light only this was available. to make his body stand more put him front of a white back ground. I would move him a away from the light . the reason i choose this subject because he is relevant to mod culture because im doing a mod magazine.

where I took this picture in the face shop in carnby street in London . the lighting is to bright I would change the way he his stood and may move him to the outer side of the shop. the colour is brighter and  the background reflex back on my camera. i choose because subject because he owns a mod shop.

some of the pictures are  modern, retro and mix for my magazine i am doing a mod culture design.
style of these magazines are appeals to men more than women because of music, scooters and fashion.

I have got a mixture of little and big pictures the photos are taken in different location around England from different magazine and newspapers.
some magazine have used big and little picture together and layout look good.

I  choose some of these picture because the lighting some pitcure are high key and low key
the one with Paul Weller are soft key because you can just see some of the shadow.


the photo inspired me to uses some ideas to do in my photo shoot for my magazine I am going uses do some like the Paul Weller.
